“Nightmare Creatures” Series

I create most of these ink pieces all in one sitting with little to no planning beforehand, intended to explore a process that is the antithesis of how I work on my paintings. I use them to explore the visual representation of a feeling or emotion, sometimes paired with a short poetical phrase. Working with the permanence of inerasable ink keeps me honest and malleable in my greater creative process.
